QUT International College P Block Refurbishment
USG Boral Ensemble Acoustical Ceiling System
Engaged by Buildcorp to design the refurbishment of P Block in QUT’s International College, interior designers firm PDT was looked for a ceiling with a modern, monolithic aesthetic which would also reduce reverberation in bustling areas of the accommodation hall.
They selected USG Boral Ensemble for the foyer and common areas – specifying 635m2, with around 220m2 of it curved with a maximum radius of 7.3m. Installed by primary walls and ceilings contractor Pryde Projects and completed in September, Ensemble has one again proven its versatility and value for large open spaces where both acoustic qualities and a streamlined look are musts.
