he series of earthquakes in Lombok, Indonesia in the recent year have had a devastating impact to the local community, destroying countless homes, community spaces and disrupting tourism activities, a key source of income.

Among others, schools were one of the critical public facilities that were seriously affected. The National Disaster Management Authority (BNPB) estimates 606 schools in Nusa Tenggara Barat (NTB) affected. More than 3,051 classrooms were damaged, 1,460 of it to a high degree. As part of trauma healing and returning normalcy to school-going activities, re-building schools was identified as a crucial part of the restoration process.
