* Fire Resistance Level (FRL) is determined by how long it takes before ‘failure’ of the three criteria (structural adequacy, integrity, and insulation) are deemed to have occurred in case of fire.
** Sound Transmission Class (STC) is an integer rating of how well a building partition attenuates airborne sound. STC 50-55 rating is where loud sounds faintly heard while STC 45 rating is where a loud speech can be heard but not audible.
