USG Boral Ensemble™ Acoustical Plasterboard Ceiling is a new solution for interior ceilings that combines the seamless look of plasterboard with the acoustical properties of tile-and-grid systems. The bright white finish and monolithic appearance eliminates distracting grid-lines.
Ideal for use in spaces such as offices, schools or any other commercial projects.
The components for Rondo KEY-LOCK® Ceiling Suspension System have been expertly designed to simply snap into sections, without the aid of mechanical tools. With a fuss-free installation method, it helps to speed up time on site.
Install the Ensemble™ Ceiling Panel using a collated screw gun by screw fixing the recessed and butt joints at 150mm centers. Cut the rockwool insulation blanket according to the panel dimensions and slot the rockwool behind the panel.
Centre and press the paper tape using a broad knife ensuring there are no air bubbles under the tape.
Apply the second coat of EasySet™ 20 and let it dry.
Lastly, apply the final coat with the use of SHEETROCK® Lightweight Finishing Joint Compound Plus 3™. Allow the compound to dry and lightly sand using a sanding block.
Apply the Ensemble™ Spray-Applied Finish in a minimum of four coats, cross-hatched with a minimum of 50% overlap to achieve the appearance and sound performance.
Start from a corner and work progressively across the ceiling. Recoat using the same technique after 10 to 20 minutes or when the previous coat has dried.
